Artifact in former Yugoslavia (5,000 BCE) Vinca site displayed red-painted toes and draping of fabric cascading over the legs. Footfalls echoing social memory in the South Slavic round dances called "kolos" are present in the Serbo-Croatian word Bosnia which translates to bare feet.
