Eastern Europe- Bulgarian opanca are found with the traditional costumes. Universal amongst all are our hands and feet. Hands are the outer manifestation of a female womb and can manifest art, build homes, and tenderly cradle an infant. Hands according to the Proto-Slavs and ancient South Slavic wisdom women are the evolved wings of birds hence the connection of angels’ wings descended from the Balkan Bird Goddess

Feet are evident from prehistoric eras and foot prints of ancient ancestors show the presence of supernatural beings. “Because of the contact between the foot and the earth, it was frequently believed that the foot transmitted personal emanations and power to the ground upon which it walked.”
